THE HOTEL PLAYASOL CADAQUÉS

Hotel Playasol de Cadaqués is located in a prime spot in one of the most beautiful villages of the Costa Brava, surrounded by the Natural Park of Cap de Creus. The four-star Hotel Playasol is situated in Cadaqués Bay on the seafront, a few metres from the town centre. It is the only hotel with access to a small, sunny and quiet beach, with spectacular views of the sea and the town, as well as a large garden of olive and pine trees with a heated outdoor pool with spa facilities.

For your comfort, Hotel Playasol offers you newly renovated, contemporary rooms, with an elegant and fresh design. Most rooms have sea and town views, whilst others offer garden and pool views or views of the private garden patios. This hotel is ideal for peaceful holidays, romantic getaways and leisure, culture and sport stays. There’s no place better to disconnect.

The hotel has double, triple and family rooms for up to 4 people, most of them with a balcony, terrace or garden patio. The common areas include a Lounge bar, dining room, reading room with a pool table and a TV room, all with unbeatable views. Guests are invited to come and enjoy an aperitif on the covered outdoor bar terrace, which boasts access to one of the most popular beach fronts.

Hotel Playasol is surrounded by a large garden of olive and pine trees. The garden comprises two natural lawns with sun loungers and chairs to relax and unwind. Guests can also enjoy our heated outdoor swimming pool from half May to half October, our outdoor jacuzzi under the olive trees, and our steam bath with a sensation shower next to the changing rooms, which include showers. From June, lunch is served under the parasol pines in our poolside garden restaurant. Or how about a refreshing drink at the pool bar? For the more active, the hotel offers: a basketball court, tennis and paddle courts, ping-pong and boules, as well as all-terrain bicycles, both electric and non-motorised, and single and double kayaks. The hotel has a 3-floor car park with surveillance for a total of 35 cars (we recommend you reserve your parking space in advance). There are plenty of water sports to try, from diving in Cap de Creus to renting leisure boats or taking a ride on our Menorquina yacht, complete with a skipper.

CADAQUÉS

Cadaqués is a small fishing town located in the easternmost point of the Iberian Peninsula, at the base of Pyrenees. The town is located within the Natural Park of Cap de Creus, the only maritime and terrestrial park in Catalonia. The maritime zone’s seabed is of great interest to visitors for its fauna and flora, whilst the terrestrial zone is considered the biggest uninhabited area of the Spanish Mediterranean coast. This Ampurdanese town of barely three thousand inhabitants, located on a sheltered bay, only 35 kilometres from the French border, is well worth a visit as no other town in the Costa Brava can boast such authentic Mediterranean style. All its houses are in perfect harmony with the natural environment and are set within one of the most beautiful towns in Catalonia, and even in the Iberian Peninsula.

Salvador Dalí made Port-Lligat his residence and many of his works are inspired by this place. Nowadays, it is the house-museum of the painter from Alt Empordà. Lorca, Picasso, Pla, Buñuel and other painters, writers and photographers have been fascinated by this incredible spot, lashed by the tramontane, a cold and turbulent northern wind.

Cadaqués is the ideal place for those who want to relax away from crowded beaches. The rocky coastline, pleasantly indented, offers numerous coves and rocky beaches bathed by crystal clear waters. Cadaqués is a paradise for water sports, including windsurfing and a kayaking club. The surrounding area provides fantastic trekking routes and the Peralada golf complex is just 25 km away.

Cadaqués also offers two museums, cafés, typical restaurants, souvenir shops and is close to many places of cultural interest: the Salvador Dalí House-Museum, the Greco-Roman ruins of Empúries, the Romanesque Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, the Castle-Casino of Peralada and its music festivals, the Dalí Museum in Figueres, Machado's exile house in Collioure, the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà Natural Park and the pottery tradition of La Bisbal, among many others.
